It's made with only 2 ingredients and takes 2 minutes, doesn't get much better than that!

It's a much healthier alternative to the regular caramel. All the sweetness comes from the dates, there's no added sugar.

    Vegan date caramel sauce

    Ingredients

There is a secret ingredient that makes this simple vegan date caramel sauce so good. And that ingredient is... coconut cream! Yes, this recipe is made with only dates and coconut cream, that's it amigos! You could also use sticky medjool dates instead if regular dates.

I like to use the thick part of the coconut cream to make this raw vegan caramel quite thick. However, if you prefer a more liquid consistency, you can use milk instead.

Hi Ali! It’s a rainy day here in Santa Cruz, California so I whipped up a batch of chicken soup and found myself thinking about what comfort food dessert I could make as well. I found your date caramel sauce recipe and oh my – it was delicious! And yes… I licked the spoon. Hahaha 😂 I did add a small tip of bourbon, a splash of maple syrup and a sprinkle of Himalayan sea salt. Yummy 😋 I made it for topping my cinnamon and pecan sourdough bread pudding for my hard working guy ♥️ Thank you!
