    BBQ sauce gluten-free

I must admit I love a good BBQ sauce, but the store bought ones are filled with sugar and nasty ingredients. That's why making your own one is the answer!!

This BBQ sauce pairs great with my fall-off-the-bone bbq pork ribs, and my pulled bbq beef brisket.

Making this healthy homemade bbq sauce it's super easy!
Just add all the ingredients to a pot or deep pan with a lid, and stir to combine.

Cover with a lid and cook on medium heat for 10 minutes. Stir again and it's ready! Store in a lidded glass jar or airtight container.

Tip: I highly recommend covering with a lid while it's cooking, so the sauce doesn't splash your entire kitchen 🙃.

    Substitutions & variations

You can do a few tweaks to this recipe, to adjust it more to your own taste:

    • Make it vegan - using maple syrup instead of honey.
    • Make it more spicy - adding a larger amount of cayenne powder.
    • Add tamari - a touch of tamari sauce would work great. My suggestion would be to add ½ tbsp.

    Equipment

All you need to make this recipe is...

    • Small pan or pot with a lid
    • Timber spatula

    Storage
