Ingredients
Base ingredients for all ceremonial cacao recipes
- 1 scoop (15g) of ceremonial-grade cacao
- 2/3 cup of plant-based milk (I love coconut or almond milk)
- 1/3 cup of water
Rose-infused ceremonial cacao
- 1 tbsp of dried rose petals
- 1/8 tsp of carob powder
- Pinch of himalayan pink salt
Spicy ceremonial cacao
- Pinch of cayenne powder
- Pinch of cinnamon
- Pinch of himalayan pink salt
Cardamom ceremonial cacao
- 3 cardamom pods (opened so they release more aroma)
- Pinch of cinnamon
Instructions
IMPORTANT FOR ALL RECIPES: Make sure the mix doesn't boil, as temperatures above 60C/140F can degrade the health benefits of ceremonial cacao.
Simple ceremonial cacao recipe
- Place a small pot on the stove top on medium heat, and add the cold water and plant-based milk. Toss in the cacao and mix well with an electric hand mixer or stick blender.
- Transfer the blended mix to your favorite cup and enjoy!
Ceremonial cacao with rose petals and carob
- Place a small pot on the stove top on medium heat, and add the cold water and plant-based milk. Toss in the rose petals, and let them infuse for 3-5 minutes.
- Remove the rose petals using a small fine mesh strainer, and add the cacao, carob, and sea salt. Mix well with an electric hand mixer or stick blender.
- Transfer the blended mix to your favorite cup and enjoy!
Spicy ceremonial cacao
- Place a small pot on the stove top on medium heat, and add the cold water and plant-based milk. Toss in the cacao, cayenne, cinnamon, and sea salt. Adjust the amount of cayenne and cinnamon to taste.
- Mix well with an electric hand mixer or stick blender.
- Transfer the blended mix to your favorite cup and enjoy!
Cardamom ceremonial cacao
- Place a small pot on the stove top on medium heat, and add the cold water and plant-based milk. Toss in the cacao, cardamom pods, and cinnamon.
- Stir well with a spoon for a couple of minutes to allow the cardamom aroma to infuse the drink.
- Remove the cardamom pods, transfer the blended mix to your favorite cup, and enjoy!
Notes
Add a teaspoon of raw honey or maple syrup to sweeten.
Substitute plant-based milk with coconut cream, for a more creamy consistency.
